1 chopped to death in N\\\'ganj

Miscreants have hacked to death a former Union Parisad (UP) chairman at Sonargaon Upazila in Narayanganj. Police said the incident happened on Friday night. Billal Hossain, 46, was the general secretary of Sonmandi Union unit of the BNP and a former chairman of the same Union. Quoting locals, Sonargaon Police Station OC Reazul Haque told reporters: ‘Unidentified miscreants hacked and beat Billal to death at Darikandi village under Fatehpur union at Sonargaon Upazila around 9:30pm.’ He said police went to the spot hearing of the incident and found the body. Haque said Billal might have been killed over previous hostility. He said the body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
