1 die in road crash in city outskirts

A motorcyclist was killed and his co-rider injured in a road accident at Savar in the outskirts of the city on Thursday morning. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Mostafa Kamal, officer-in-charge of Savar Police Station, said a truck crashed into the motorcycle carrying the two on their way to Dhaka on the Bhakurta Bridge on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway around 8:15am, leaving one dead on the spot and the other injured. The injured was rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital, according to UNB.
