1 dies falling from roof of moving bus

A young man was killed and another person injured after falling from the rooftop of a bus at Shrinagar upazila in Munshiganj district near Keraniganj on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Shiplu, 28, a poultry trader and resident of Shologhar village of Shrinagar upazila. Sheikh Mahabubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Srinagar Police Station, said Shiplu and Hazrat Ali while travelling on the rooftop of a bus from Keraniganj upazila in Dhaka fell down from the vehicle as they got hurt with a roadside tree. Shiplu died on the spot while Hazrat was critically injured. He was admitted to Srinagar Upazila Health Complx. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital for autopsy.
