1 held with 308 kg hemp in Comilla

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug peddler in possession of 308 kilograms of hemp in Brahmanpara upazila in Comilla district on Monday. The arrested is Hanif, 32, a resident of Mollika Dighi village in the upazila. Lieutenant Colonel Shahidur Rahman, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-10, said on secret information, a team of the border force led by Habilder Golam Maola conducted a drive in Ashabari area and arrested Hanif along with the 308 kilograms of cannabis item. The value of the recovered hemp would be Tk1 million, the commanding officer added. A case was filed, according to UNB.
