1 held with firearms at Savar

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested an alleged terrorist along with a firearms at Savar on Sunday evening. The arrestee was identified as Saidul Islam, 30, a resident of Dupdia village of Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari district. Tipped off, a DB team of Dhaka district (North) conducted a drive at Tetuljhora under Savar Upazila around 6:30pm and arrested Saidul from in front of Shaheed Rafique Setu Toll Plaza, DB police sources said. The detectives also recovered a foreign made pistol from his possession at that time, according to UNB.
