1 injured by bullet in \\\'shootout\\\'

A man received bullet wound during a ‘shootout’ between alleged ‘terrorists’ and the law enforcers at Bhaturia in Jessore Sadar uapzila on Saturday. The injured was identified as Masudur Rahman Nannu, son of Lutfar Rahman of Barandipara of Jessore town. Police said he is a terrorist, a claim that the locals contradicted. They said he was an ordinary man. Police said ‘joint force’ arrested Nannu from Monihar area of the town at noon. When the law enforcers took Nannu to Bhaturia area for recovering arms, Nannu’s cohorts opened fire on the law enforcers, forcing them to fire back which triggered a ‘shootout’. Nannu received bullet wound in the gunfight, they added, according to a news agency.
