1 killed, 15 injured in road accident

A man was killed and 15 others were injured in a road accident at Sharshi under Ishwarganj Upazila of Mymensingh district on Friday. The dead is Md Shamim, 30, a guard of Krishi Bank of Harua Branch at Ishwarganj. A goods-laden truck from Sirajganj collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus from Kishoreganj on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road around 8:00am, leaving Shamim dead on the spot injuring 15 others. Among the wounded, nine including driver and helper of the truck were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) while others were given first aid at local clinics, according to a news agency.
