1 killed, 3 injured in BSF firing

SATKHIRA, Apr 30 (UNB) : Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a cattle trader and wounded three others near Boikari border in Sadar Upazila this (Saturday) morning.
The victim was identified as Rahmat Ali (35), son of Yousuf Ali of Bashdaha village of the upazila.
Sources said, BSF troops of Joynagar camp under Shwarupnagar Thana in Chabbishporgona district, opened fire on a group of cattle traders while they were returning with cattle from India, leaving Rahmat killed on the spot and three others injured early in the morning.
Later, the fellow cow traders took the body of Rahmat to Boikari area from Indian territory and rushed their three injured men to different clinics in the district town.
Being informed police went to the spot and sent the body of Rahmat to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
Lt Col Enayet Karim, captain of Satkhira BGB-41 confirmed the BSF firing.
