1 killed, 3 injured in Ctg road crash

One person was killed and three others were injured in a road accident in Chittagong city on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Selim, 50, son of late Mohammad Yusuf, hailed from Patiya Upazila of the district. The injured persons are Syed Ahmed, 50, Mohammad Sagar, 28, and Jafar, 35. Mohammad Mohsin, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia Police Station, said four people were injured when a port city-bound bus dashed a motorbike in Golchattar near Shah Amanat Bridge after the bus driver lost control over the steering. The injured were rescued and rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the duty doctor declared Selim dead, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Pankaj Barua of CMCH police outpost. The other injured are being treated at the hospital, the SI added, according to a news agency.
