1 killed, 5 injured in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Nov 28 (UNB): A woman was killed and five people of a family were injured in an attack by their rivals over land dispute at village Narundi Dakkhinpara in Sadar upazila in Jamalpur on Sunday. Local people said there was a longstanding dispute between Billal Hossain and Sirajuddin of the village over a piece of land. They said when Sirajuddin along with his supporters tried to take possession of the land in the early morning Billal protested. Later, Siraj and his men attacked the house of Billal and beat his family members in the morning leaving five inmates injured.
