1 killed as trawler collides with sand-laden vessel

A man has been killed in a head-on collision between a sand-laden vessel and a trawler in Ichhamoti River in Alampur area of Shreenagar upazila of Munshiganj district. Sub-Inspector of Shreenagar Police Station Uttam Kumar confirmed the accident and said the police have recovered body of the victim Akhter Hossain, 40, a day labourer. The body was sent to Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy, he added, according to BSS.
