1 killed in Magura clash: 9 injured

A man who was injured in a clash between two rival groups at Srirampur village in Magura Sadar upazila died at Magura Sadar Hospital on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Abdus Kuddus Molla, 50, a resident of the area. Quoting locals, police said there had been a longstanding conflict between Arju Molla and Taleb over establishing dominance at Srirampur village. On Friday, both Arju Molla and Taleb locked in an altercation over the issue. At one stage, the two rival groups, equipped with lethal weapons, attacked each other, leaving 10 people, including Kuddus, injured. Among them, three critically injured ersons were rushed to the Sadar Hospital where Kuddus succumbed to his injuries around 4:00am on Saturday, according to a news agency.
