1 killed in Rajbari crash

An auto-rickshaw driver was killed when a truck rammed his auto-rickshaw at Goalondo Upazila in Rajbari district on Saturday morning. The dead is Mohammad Idris Sarder, 45, son of Sadek Sarder, a resident of No. 7 Kazipara Union Parishad of the Upazila. Witnesses said the truck rammed the auto-rickshaw when Sadek was coming to Goalondo Bazar Bus Stand around 7:45am, leaving him dead on the spot. Infuriated by the incident, locals blocked Khulna-Daulatdia highway for 2 hours. Being informed, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control, according to a news agency.
