1 killed in road accident

A man was killed in a road accident in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Wednesday afternoon. The dead is Jalal Uddin, 70, son of Jharu Mondol of Chunakhali Fakirpara village. Police said the accident occurred when a private car hit Jalal while he was crossing the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway under Fielder Hat area, leaving him injured. He was rushed to the Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead, according to a news agency.
