1 killed in road accident, body of another recovered in Madaripur

A septuagenarian man was killed in a road accident in Kalirbazar area in Madaripur Sadar Upazila on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman Matbar, 70, of south Birangal village. Sadar police station officer-in-charge Mofazzal Hossain said a ‘Nasimon’ (human hauler) overturned in Kalirbazar around 8am, leaving one of the passengers – Abdur Rahman – dead on the spot. Meanwhile, police recovered the body of an unidentified man from Tantibari Bus Stand area in the upazila early Sunday. The OC said the man might have been killed in a road accident, according to a news agency.
