1 killed over Jamalpur land dispute

JAMALPUR, Oct 31 (UNB): A farmer was killed by his opponents over land dispute at Dharabarsha village in Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdus Sattar, 75, of the village.
Officer-in-Charge of Sarishabari thana Qamrul Ahsan quoting locals said there was a long running dispute between Abdus Sattar and his neighbour Dudu Member over the ownership of a plot of land.
Village elders time and again tried to settle the dispute but failed, he added.
