1 killed under speeding train in city

A garment worker has been crushed under the wheels of a train in the capital city’s Banani area, reports bdnews24.com.
The accident took place near the Sainik Club at Banani Chairman Bari on Monday at around 1pm.
The victim, identified as Mosharraf Hossain (30), was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with serious injuries where the duty doctors pronounced him dead. Mosharraf was an assistant machine operator of Madonna Fashion, a garments factory.
Its manager Mohammad Shahjahan said that Mosharraf was standing on the railway track smoking when the train, heading from Kamlapur Railway Station, knocked him down.
