1 more body recovered: 41 Pinak-6 victims found so far

Body of another passenger of ‘Pinak-6’ has been recovered from Meghna River at Noakhali’s Hatia Upazila, five days after the launch capsized in Padma River in Munshiganj district, police say. The deceased was identified as Ahmed Khan, 42, of Faridpur’s Bhanga Upazila from an ID card found on him. Noakhali police superintendent Md Ilias Sharif said locals spotted the bloated corpse floating on Meghna River on Saturday morning. ‘We have contacted Faridpur police. They confirmed that Khan was a Pinak-6 passenger,’ said Sharif. His name is on the list of those missing, the police officer added. So far, 41 bodies have been recovered and over 160 others are unaccounted for, according to a news agency.
