1 slaughtered in Gaibandha

A man was slaughtered by some local miscreants in Gobindaganj Upazila in Gaibandha district on Thursday. The dead is Ujjal, son of Ataur Rahman of Dharmapur village. Locals said Shahjahan Ali, an influential person of Dharmapur village, along with his associates swooped on Ujjal and slaughtered him with a sharp weapon when he came out of his home in the afternoon. They said Shahjahan Ali had a long-standing dispute with Ujjal, reportedly a wayward man, according to a news agency.
