1 stabbed dead, another crushed under train in city

Two persons have died in separate incidents in Zurain and Kadamtali areas in Dhaka city on Tuesday morning. An unidentified elderly man was injured as a Dhaka-bound train from Narayanganj hit him in Boubazar area of Zurain around 8:30am. Locals rescued the old man and whisked him off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the duty doctor declared him dead around 9:45am. Earlier, a gang of miscreants stabbed a 20-year-old man leaving him injured in Kadamtali Pokar Bazar area around 11:00am on Monday. Being informed, relatives rescued him and rushed the young man to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries around 8:30am on Tuesday. DMCH police outpost In-Charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
