1 stabbed dead, another injured

A youth was stabbed to death and another was injured by snatchers in Satnal Bridge in Monirampur Upazila in Jessore early Monday. The deceased was identified as Raju Ahmed, 26, son of Atier Rahman of Kaziara village in the upazila. Police said the victim Raju and his elder brother Sumon Hossen were returning their house from Monirampur riding motorcycle. A gang of miscreants halted them and stabbed indiscriminately with sharp weapons when they reached at Satnal Bridge around 12:30am. The miscreants looted cash and other valuables, leaving them seriously injured. Hearing screams, locals rescued them and rushed them to Jessore 250-bed Hospital where Raju succumbed to his injuries on Monday afternoon. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
