10 Biman staffers among 14 sued over gold haul

A case was filed against 14 people, including 10 officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, in connection with the seizure of over 124 kg gold, at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in 2013. Customs Inspector Mustafa Jamal filed the case on Friday night following an investigation by a six-member committee formed by the Customs Intelligence. The committee was formed on September 22, 2013 following the recovery of 124 kg gold from an aircraft.
