10-day vacation at Sonamasjid landport

CHAPAINABABGANJ, Sept 19 (bdnews24.com): All export and import work at Sonamasjid landport will remain suspended for 10 days from tomorrow to September 29 for Eid-ul-Fitr and Durga Puja festivals.
The port's customs department will reopen after Eid holidays.
Government holiday will end Tuesday if Eid falls on Monday, while it will be extended to Wednesday if Eid is observed Tuesday, depending on the visibility of the moon.
Exporters and importers along with clearing and forwarding agents from both Bangladesh and India made the decision.
Sonamasjid Landport Clearing and Forwarding Association secretary Ruhul Amin told the news agency Sonamasjid port and Mohadipur landport of India would suspend import and export operations for five days from Sunday for Eid-ul-Fitr and another four days for Durga Puja.
