10 gold bars seized at Shah Amanat

Customs officials recovered 10 gold bars from a passenger at Hazrat Shah Amanat (RA) International Airport in Patenga, Chittagong, on Thursday. Assistant Customs Commissioner at Hazrat Shah Amanat (RA) International Airport, Moshiur Rahman Mondol, said the gold bars weighing around 1.120 kilograms worth about Tk 5 million were recovered while searching the luggage of a passenger who arrived in Chittagong in the morning in a flight from Sharjah. The Customs official identified the arrestee as Sohel, who came from Sharjah by an Air Arabia flight that landed at 9.30am, according to BSS.
