10 held with firearms in city

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a drive arrested 10 people along with arms from Rampura and Mugda areas of the capital on Sunday night. The DB officials said a team of detectives conducted the drive in Rampura and Mugda areas of the city on and arrested them at night. The detectives also recovered one pistol, three machetes, three rounds of bullet, two microbuses and one private car from their possession. Details of the drive will be disclosed at a press briefing later, said the officials, according to UNB.
