10 Hizbut Tahrir men held in ctg

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) detained 10 activists of banned Islamist militant outfit Hizbut Tahrir when they brought out anti- government procession at city's Andar Killah area on Friday noon. Kotwali thana police recovered some anti- government leaflets and banners from the possession of arrestee. Officer- in- Charge of Kotwali thana A K M Mohiuddin Selim said that police detained 10 persons suspecting them as members of Hizbut Tahrir. Eyewitnesses said a group of 35-40 people under a banner of Hizb-ut Tahrir brought out anti- government procession from Love Lane area, Patrol police of Kotwali thana obstructed the procession at Andarkillah crossing, afterwards they turned towards Momin Road. On information a team of Kotwali thana police reached the spot and arrested 10 hizbut Tahrir men, according to a news agency.
