Sunday, 23 November 2008

At least ten people including three students were injured in a clash between the students of Dhaka College and traders of Chandrima Super Market in the city Saturday. Police charged batons on the clashing students and the traders to disperse them. The clash erupted at about 11:45 am following a trifling matter over buying a bag at Chandrima Market. Around 500 traders from Chandrima Market, Dhanmandi Hawkers' Market and Gausia market joined the clash with bamboo sticks and iron rods against some hundred students. During the two-hour clash, traffic movement on the Mirpur Road through New Market was disrupted. — Internet
