10 hurt in clash over land in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Apr 29 (UNB): At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups over a land-related dispute at Gopalpur village in Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon.
Locals said there had been a longstanding dispute between Khedon Mia and his stepbrother Mofiz Uddin of the village over the ownership of a piece of land.
The clash ensued following an altercation between their supporters in the afternoon.
At one stage, the two groups, equipped with homemade arms, attacked each other, leaving ten people injured on both sides.
