10 injured, 80 houses damaged by Tornado

COMILLA, July 26 (UNB): At least 10 people were injured and some 80 houses were destroyed by a tornado in the district Thursday.
Witnesses said the tornado struck nine villages of three upazilas of the district in the morning, destroying the dwellings and uprooting a large number of trees.
At first, the violent storm struck Ratanpur village under Daudkandi Upazila at about 5:00 am and then hit Latsar, Durgapur, and Charda villages under Monoharganj Upazila at about 7:00 am.
