10 injured as nor\\\'wester hits Magura

At least 10 people were injured, may of them seriously, as a nor’wester lashed several union parishads in Magura’s Shalikha and Sadar upazilas on Sunday night. Of the 10, seven were injured as houses and trees collapsed on them during the storm. Among the critically three injured – Rina Khatun, 35, dauther of Tilam Molla of Sonpur village, Sonia Khatun, 17, daughter of Tahajjat Bishwas of Harishpur village, and Aduri Begum, 13, daughter of Ruhul Amin of Amuria village – were rushed to Sadar hospital. Hospital sources said more persons with serious injuries suffered in the storm, were receiving treatment there. The storm damaged over 100 dwelling houses and uprooted a good number of trees and electric poles, according to a news agency.
