10 injured as police, RMG workers clash in city

 At least 10 people, including two policemen, were injured in a clash between the workers of a garment factory and police at Kachukhet in the city Saturday. Police said about 2000 workers of two garment factories took to the street at around 9 am and staged demonstration as the authorities concerned closed the two factories without paying wages and Eid bonus to the workers. Police charged batons and lobbed teargas shells to disperse them. chase and counter-chase took place between the workers and police, triggering the clash that left 10 people injured.    — UNB
