10 injured in arson attack

RAJSHAHI, Jan 23: At least 10 people suffered burn injuries in an arson attack on a bus in Tanore upazila on Friday evening. Witnesses said miscreants set fire to the bus hurling a petrol bomb at it in front of Brac office around 7pm. Officer-in-charge of Tanore Police Station Anwar Hossain said pickets first hurled brick chips at the bus and vandalised it. Later, they set it on fire, he said. The injured were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Locals caught two Shibir activists while fleeing after torching a bus in Poba upazila around 6am.
