10 injured in attack by smugglers

Ten people were injured allegedly in an attack by smugglers in Rudropur border area of Sharsha upazila in Jessore district on Sunday night. Five of the injured were identified as — Asmat Khan, 38, Shahajan Ali, 34, Kamruzzaman, 33, Shawkat Ali, 32 and Jalal uddin, 35, all residents of the village. Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sharsha Police Station, said a gang of smugglers attacked the youths over establishing supremacy in the area at night, leaving ten injured. The injured were admitted to Sharsha Upazila Health Complex, according to a news agency.
