10 injured in JCD-Shibir clash at Ctg City College over graffiti dispute

A clash between the student wings of the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami has broken out on the Chattogram Government City College campus over graffiti and subsequent social media posts, leaving at least 10 people injured, reports bdnews24.com.
According to witnesses and party activists, the incident occurred outside the college on Tuesday afternoon.Chattogram Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Hossain Mohammad Kabir Bhuiyan said, "Tension arose between the two sides. Police are present at the scene and have dispersed both groups. The situation has returned to normal."
Witnesses said Islami Chhatra Shibir members had drawn graffiti inside the campus, which later triggered online exchanges between Shibir and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists.
The situation reportedly escalated into scuffles on campus in the morning.
In protest of the morning incident, Shibir called a demonstration at New Market intersection around 4:00 pm.
As their procession moved towards the college, the two sides clashed again, leading to chases and stone-throwing.
Panic spread in the area, forcing shops to shut and disrupting traffic movement.
