10 Jamat men held in Sylhet

Police in a driver arrested 10 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami while they were holding a clandestine meeting at a mosque at Sabujbag in Sylhet city on Thursday night. The arrestees were identified as Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Jubair, Sylhet city unit Jamaat ameer, Mohammad Abdus Sabur, Ahmed Al Masud, Mir Hossain, Joynal Abedin, Delwar Hossain Jamil, Mahmud Ahmed, Mohammad Morshed Alam, Abdullah Al Munim and Ahmed Hossain. Manirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shahparan Police Station said, tipped off a team of police conducted a raid at the mosque and arrested them while they were holding a clandestine meeting inside around 10:30 pm, according to a news agency.
