10-member medical board for Arafat

Dhaka, Sep 8(UNB)- A 10-member medical board was formed on Friday night for treatment of detained Arafat Rahman, younger son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. The board headed by chairman of Cardiology department of BSMMU Dr KMHS Sirajul Haq examined Arafat today and said he should be kept in CCU for some days. He is suffering from pain in the chest and cough and has some neurological problems, medical sources said. Arafat was arrested Sept 3 along with his mother on graft charge and was taken to police remand. Returned to the court on completion of remand he was sent to jail on Thursday. Later he shifted to BSMMU hospital Friday afternoon. DIG (Prison) Major Shamsul Haider Siddiqui told UNB that Arafat is suffering from conjunctivitis, slight chest pain and finger shivering.
