10 new Covid cases reported, no deaths

Bangladesh has registered 10 new cases of COVID-19 in a day, taking the overall tally of infections to 1,952,776, reports bdnews24.com.
The government recorded no deaths in the 24-hour count, keeping the total toll from the disease unchanged at 29,127, according to the latest data released on Saturday.
As many as 2,656 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 0.38 percent.
Dhaka registered seven cases, the most among the eight divisions.
Another 217 people recovered from the illness nationwide, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,897,263.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 97.16 per cent and the mortality rate at 1.49 per cent.
Globally, over 516.78 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus and 6.24 million have died, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
UNB report adds: The overall number of Covid cases globally is fast approaching 517 million amid a rise  in new infections in parts of the world.
According to Johns Hopkins University (JHU), the total case count mounted to 516,648,904 while the death toll from the virus reached 6,249,524, Saturday morning.
The US has recorded 81,831,854 cases so far and 997,318 people have died from the virus in the country, the data shows.
India's Covid-19 tally rose to 43,094,938 on Friday, with 3,545 new cases registered in 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's latest data.
Of the new cases, 1,365 were reported from Delhi. Currently,, there are 5,756 active cases in the national capital.
Besides, as many as 27 deaths were reported across the country due to the pandemic since Thursday morning, taking the total death toll to 524,002.
