100 houses gutted in Panchagarh

At least 100 houses were gutted by a devastating fire that broke out at a house at Tentulia upazila in Panchagarh district on Saturday. Fire service sources said the fire originated from the kitchen of the house of one Ramijul Islam at Gitalganj village around 12:30 am. Soon the fire engulfed adjoining houses. Ten cows and 30 goats were also burned down by the fire. Mohamamd Salah Uddin, deputy commissioner of the district, visited the spot in the morning. He also distributed Tk 2,000 and 30 kg rice to each of the affected families, according to UNB.
