Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Wednesday said 100 marks in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations would be on questions related to the country's 1971 liberation war.
"School textbooks will also have the history of war criminals. Many BCS examinees do not know about liberation war" the minister was addressing a discussion as the chief guest on 40th anniversary of martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) auditorium in the capital.
The discussion was organized by Bangladesh Freedom Fighter Institutional Command all Units Coordination Council while Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan was addressing as the keynote speaker.
"The retirement age of freedom fighters in government service should be 65 years. But it depends on the court," the liberation minister said.
Among others, vice chairman of Freedom Fighter council Ismat Kadir Gama and president of labour league of power sector Alauddin Mia were present on the occasion.
