1,000 Yaba recovered: 1 held

Officials of Narcotics Control Department arrested an alleged drug trader along with 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from Amlapara area in Narayanganj city on Sunday. The arrested is Nadim, 32, son of Khadim Ali of the area. Nasir Ullah Bhuiyan, in-charge of Narayanganj circle office of the Narcotics Control Department, said a team of the department officials, on a tip-off, met Nadim in President Road area in the afternoon disguising themselves as Yaba buyers and arrested him along with the tablets. However, Nadim’s accomplice Billal managed to escape earlier sensing the presence of the narcotics control officials. A case was filed, according to UNB.
