1,000 Yaba recovered in city: 1 held

Police recovered 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet at Kamalapur Rail Station in the city on Thursday. The law enforcers also arrested a man – Selim Mia alias Shahin, 38, – for possessing the contraband tablet. Sub-inspector Arifin of the Government Railway Police (GRP) Station, Kamalapur, said an inter-city train – Mohanagar Turna Nishita – from Chittagong reached Kamalapur around 7:30am. Tipped-off, a GRP team challenged Selim when he was coming out of the railway station through Platform No-3 and recovered 1,000 Yaba tablets from him, said SI Arifin, according to UNB.
