100,000 WiFi hotspots: A praiseworthy initiative

Sunday, 13 April 2014

The incumbent government is surely very eager to spread the use of computer and internet technology. Now, it has taken initiative to set up 100,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in various public places across our country. It will encourage young people to be more tech-savvy. The Wi-Fi hotspots will be installed in places like educational institutions, markets, bus and launch terminals under a special project. Without internet and computer, we cannot dream of our daily life, nowadays.
The IT technology, even two decades ago, was a totally alien and unheard of topic to the common people. I have noticed there is tremendous interest in IT technology among the young people. It is obviously a good sign. We have a large and vibrant young population eager to work hard and explore the avenue of IT technology. Internet has obliterated the man-made borders and the world is getting smaller. Communication is becoming cheaper and easier, thanks to applications like skype, whatsapp, viber, Facebook and twitter. Through small shiny Smartphone, we can be connected to the world in a blink of our eyes. I heartily thank the government for the praiseworthy initiative. I also hope it will carry on the good works.
