101 amendments in Labour Rules-2015 as gazette published

A total of 101 amendments have been made in the Labour Rules-2015 with the aim of establishing the rights and welfare of the working class people of the country and facilitating the greater enforcement and implementation of the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006, reports BSS.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has published a gazette regarding the inclusion of 101 amendments to the Labour Rules on September 1 last.
Advocate AKM Nasim, country programme director of Solidarity Centre-Bangladesh, disclosed the information at a roundtable titled 'Recent Amendment of the Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015' in the capital today.
The employers, workers and leaders of the civil society participated in the roundtable organized by the Solidarity Center-Bangladesh Office.
Divisional Labour Office's Assistant Director Mosharraf Hossain, Chairperson of Foundation for Law and Development Advocate Fawzia Karim, Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad leader Ashiqul Alam and General Secretary of Samajtantrik Sramik Front Ahsan Habib Bulbul took part in it.
Speakers said every amendment to the labor rules should be positive, development-oriented and helpful for all parties concerned.
