11 get Bangla Academy Literary Award

Bangla Academy Literary Award were announced Thursday. Some 11 eminent poets, writers, researchers and educationists will be honoured with Bangla Academy Literary Award this year for their contributions in various disciplines of literature. Shamsuzzaman Khan, Director General of Bangla Academy,announced the names of the recipients of the award at a press conference on the premises of the academy Thursday. The recipients of the award are: Helal Hafiz (Poetry),Purabi Basu (Literature), Mofidul Huq (Article), Jamil Chowdhury and Probhangshu Tripura (Research), Kaiser Huq (Translation), Harun Habib (Literature on the Liberation War affairs), Mahfuzur Rahman (Autobiography), Shahidul Huq (Science, Technology and Environment), Kaizer Chowdhury and Aslan Sunny (Child literature and rhymes), according to a news agency.
