11 organisations to receive awards

The government will honour 10 trade organisations in the textile sector and an institution for their outstanding contribution to the growth of the country's textile sector on the occasion of the National Textile Day today (Tuesday).
Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak made the disclosure at a press briefing at his Secretariat office on Sunday.
The organisations that will receive the awards are Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association ( BGMEA), Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), Bangladesh Textiles Mills Association (BTMA), Bangladesh Specialised Textiles Mills and Power Loom Industries Association (BSTMPIA), Bangladesh Cotton Association (BCA), Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), Bangladesh Terry Towel and Lien Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BTTLMA), Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), Bangladesh Garments Excessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMA), Bangladesh Embroidery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BEMEA) and Bangladesh Tanti Samity.
