12 BD nationals held in Malaysia

Fifty-five foreigners, including 12 Bangladesh nationals, have been arrested at the Bukit Mertajam Fish Wholesalers Association’s market in Jalan Padang Lalang, Malaysia. Director of the Penang Immigration Department Hasbullah Abdul Rashid said 62 foreign workers in the market were screened and 55 of them found to be without work permits or have overstayed during a two-hour operation codenamed Ops Bersepadu, which started at 10pm on Friday, Malaysian media reported on Sunday, according to a news agency.
