12 college students acquitted by Kushtia court

KUSHTIA, Nov 23 (UNB): A tribunal here Wednesday acquitted 12 students of the Kushtia Government College of the charge of bringing out procession on August 25 this year violating emergency power rules (EPR) following the unrest in the Dhaka University on August 20-22.
After a long hearing, additional chief judicial magistrate of the Speedy Trial Tribunal passed the order acquitting all the 12 students as the charge brought against them could not be proved.
The acquitted students were College Chhatra League unit convener Enamul Bari Sumon, Shajahan Parvez Rony, Anisur Rahman, Mustafizur Rahman Sumon, Zillur Rahman, Saiful Islam, Monjurul Islam, Chhatra Front leader Ajmeri Shyama, Bakhtiar, Mamum, Sujan, and Iqbal.
