Saturday, 27 September 2014

A dozen members of a racket of cheats have been rounded up from different examination centres in the city during Dhaka University’s ‘Gha’ unit entry tests for the 2014-2015 academic session. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel said, the 12 were arrested when assisting university admission seekers in adopting unfair means while appearing for the test. A total of 36 students were picked up by police and RAB from different exam centres on Friday for trying to cheat in the examinations for 1st year honours course under the DU ‘Gha’ unit. RAB said 24 of them were admission seekers while 12 others were members of a racket that assisted the candidates to cheat in entry tests. One of the detainees is a leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s DU unit, RAB sources said. BCL is the student wing of the ruling party.
