12 more Japanese vehicles for city

The Japanese government has donated 12 more low-carbon waste collection vehicles worth Tk 930 million to increase the waste collection capacity of Dhaka city.
With these, the total number of low-carbon type waste collection vehicles stood at 112.
Under the grant, Japan International Cooperation System (JICS) is providing training for operating and maintaining a workshop set up recently.
The new waste collection vehicles were handed over at a ceremony held at the Dhaka North City Corporation office Monday. Japanese Ambassador Shiro Sadoshima and Chief Representative of JICA Bangladesh Mikio Hataeda attended the function.
