120 companies join int'l expo of medical equipment

A series of exhibitions of medical and healthcare equipment began at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital on Thursday, says a statement.
Organised by the CEMS Global-Conference & Exhibition Management Services Ltd., the three-day exhibitions - '11th Meditex Bangladesh 2018', '4th Bangladesh Clinical Lab Expo 2018' and '3rd International Health Tourism & Services Expo 2018' - end today (Saturday).
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest while Salina Begum MP, Priti Chakraborty, Director, FBCCI, Meherun N Islam, President and Group Managing Director, CEMS Global USA & Asia Pacific, and Tanveer Qamrul Islam, Executive Director, CEMS Bangladesh, were present as special guests.
Around 120 companies from 18 countries have joined the exhibitions which have brought together distributors, importers, hospitals and business representatives from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bangladesh, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Korea, Canada, Taiwan, India, the UK and the USA.
These expos are showcasing latest technologies of medical equipment, surgical instrument, healthcare, hospital equipment and supplies, materials and services for the pharmaceutical sector, clinical lab products as well as medical tourism specialists.
The show will remain open from 10:30am to 7:30pm today (Saturday).
